My name is Taufiq Hadimadja. I am also known as Karlan Hadi, my artist name.
I am a new grandfather to baby Giovanni (pictured), a freelance illustrator who is now semi-retired with flexible-hours working as a nurse, and am finally ready to open the magic drawer!

Inside: years of forgotten drawings, odd characters, and stories that never had their moment... Until now.

Before all this, I worked in advertising with Ogilvy in Indonesia before moving back to the UK to build a better life for my family. Over the years art had to be put on pause while I focused on work and other responsibilities. But the art has never died, it is still inside me, it never left... Now it feels like the right time to bring the small world living in my mind into reality - especially with baby Gio now keeping me in check!
